Volunteer Opportunities
Law Enforcement Based
Volunteers work with advocates who respond to victims of domestic violence that have reported an incident of abuse to the police

- Domestic Violence Response Team (DVRT)
Court Based
Volunteers work with advocates who respond to victim of domestic violence that are working within the municipal and civil court systems.

Crisis Intervention / Legal Program
Volunteers work with advocates who answer our Crisis Line providing social service referrals, legal information and crisis intervention

Legal Advocates for Abused Women has volunteer opportunities within each of its programs. There are also the opportunities for ongoing learning through workshops, in-services and community meetings. You may call the Volunteer Coordinator for further information, an application or to set up an interview.

Training and Time Requirements
A one-time mandatory 30-hour training session is held three times a year around January, June and September. You will receive comprehensive training to prepare you to work with victims of domestic violence.
